Amanda studied Nursing at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and qualified in 2006. Since then Amanda has worked for NHS Shetland in various nursing and nurse management positions.
The post of Non-Executive Director is as a result of being Chair of the Area Clinical Forum, a forum for multi-professional clinicians to advise the board on clinical matters. Amanda is the Chair of the Area Nursing and Midwifery Advisory Committee(ANMAC). Out with her role as Non-Executive Board Director Amanda is currently the acting chief nurse for acute and specialist services.
