Jane joined Shetland Health Board in January 2018. Jane is also a voting member of the Integration Joint Board and IJB Audit committee. Jane is currently the Chair of the Clinical Governance Committee.
Jane originally moved to Shetland to take up a Podiatrist post for the health board, working across Shetland with minor surgery and diabetic foot health as areas of special interest. Jane then moved to the Shetland Welfare Trust as Manager of a residential and community rural care hub.
Jane currently work as a Lecturer and SVQ co-ordinator within UHI Shetland College Health and Care department. Jane is a founding trustee of Shetland Community Connections, a charity supporting people in to embrace the opportunities of self-directed support, choice and control.
Jane brings extensive experience from across health and social care, education and the third sector within Shetland and nationally.
