3. How much has it cost the health board to implement TrakCare?
Implementation of Trakcare for NHS Shetland was undertaken with assistance from NHS Grampian. The one-off costs as each part of the system are implemented is recharged based on staff effort.
The total costs to NHS Shetland of the software and NHS Grampian support is approx. £150,000 annually.
Trakcare has been in use in NHS Shetland since 2014.
4. At what staffing level is an employee permitted to use TrakCare.
Access is not based on staffing ‘level’ but based on role. Roles are configured in Trakcare to enable staff to only see appropriate data.
Roles include receptionists, admin staff, ward clerks, medical secretaries, healthcare scientists, therapists, allied health professionals, nursing and midwifery, doctors and consultants.
