Mental Health Delayed Discharges - FOI Response Register

1. How many instances of delayed discharge has there been so far in 2023 in relation to mental health admissions, broken down by month.

2. How many instances of delayed discharge was there in 2022 in relation to mental health admissions, broken down by month.

3. How many total instances of delayed discharge was there from 2018 - 2022 in relation to mental health admissions, broken down by year.

Please note that NHS Shetland does not have an in-patient Mental Health facility.  

Patients with a clinical mental health diagnosis that require in-patient treatment would normally receive appropriate care at the Royal Cornhill Hospital in Aberdeen. NHS Grampian are responsible for this hospital and any Shetland resident will be included with the FOI figure they publish in response to this question.
