1. How much has this health board paid out in compensation due to malpractice or medical negligence?

The Board is a member of the Clinical Negligence and Other Risks Indemnity Scheme (CNORIS). This covers clinical negligence claims when they arise and are made against members in connection with the acts or omissions of their employees, and non-clinical claims and actions that arise following loss or bodily injury affecting third parties or employees or certain other pecuniary risks.
CNORIS has an agreed deductibles threshold of £25k, with members paying all claim costs up to this value from within their own budgets. Figures above is the total claim payment irrespective of how this was financed.
Annual contributions by members towards the scheme are based on clinical and non-clinical risk profiles.
