I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information on current and future contracts for Community Link Workers/Practitioners (CLWs):
- Which service providers procured are currently providing these services?
NHS Shetland directly provide these services through its Health Improvement team.
- How many Full Time Equivalent (FTE) CLW posts has each service provider been granted?
1 WTE Community Link Worker
Health Improvement Practitioners (HIPs) roles have 20% of their patient facing remit aligned to CLW functions. This equates to 0.3WTE.
- When were these contracts granted; and when they will run until?
1 WTE Community Link Worker funded until 4th Dec 2023
HIP roles are permanent contracts.
- From which source(s) does funding for CLWs come from e.g. Primary Care Improvement Fund, Scottish Government discrete spending; and how much funding comes from each source?
NHS Shetland Primary Care Improvement fund
- If a new contract for CLWs is currently out to tender, how many FTE CLW posts is this for; and when will this new contract commence?
