Time to hire for each staff group varies from person to person and circumstances so this is very hard to capture, it can range from 4 weeks to several months, in most circumstances 4-6 weeks however it depends on the availability of the individual so start date may be several months away from time that pre-employment checks are back.
Locum Bank tends to be on a word of mouth basis rather than a recruitment campaign
Qualified Nurses - tends to be hardest to fill with lack of UK qualified nursing professionals around and due to Shetland being a remote location.
We don’t tend to hire Bank AHPs
Payment of Bank workers tend to be against nationally agreed rates with for mandatory training
The number of hours paid for training varies on the role and what training is required or perhaps even already done and verified from previous NHS roles, we don’t have a system that captures this data.
