Medical Associate Professionals - FOI Response Register

1. How many Medical Associate Professionals (MAPs) (both headcount and whole time equivalent) have been employed or engaged by the Health Board on 1 April for each of the years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023?  Please provide this information for each designation of MAPs including Physician Associates, Anaesthesia Associates, Surgical Care Practitioners, Advanced Critical Care Practitioners, or any other relevant job tile/designation in use by employer in the relevant years.

NHS Shetland do not employ any Medical Associate Professionals

2. Please provide information on the headcount and WTE numbers of MAPs employed or engaged by the Health Board at each Health Board site (particular hospital, health centres and clinics, etc) on 1 April for each of the years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
