Asthma and Lung Cancer - FOI Response Register

We wish to submit a Freedom of Information Request to you in respect of the policies your Health Board has in place concerning the approach for investigating ongoing symptoms of asthma, together with patient concerns of a family history of lung cancer.

Specifically, we are seeking any guidelines or procedures in place from 2021 to present, outlining what action ought to have been taken, and within what timeframe such action should have been taken.

NHS Shetland have no local policy, guidelines or protocols for this.

Clinicians are expected to use national guidelines such as SIGN and the Scottish Referral Guidelines for Cancer
