1. Does this health board keep any record of staff to patient ratios within hospital wards? If so, could the highest staff to patient ratio be provided for 2022/23 and 2023/24 so far. E.g 1 member of staff for 60 patients, 1 member of staff for 80 patients etc.
2. In relation to question 1, please provide as much detail as possible. E.g date when this occurred, number of staff working in that ward, why was the ratio so high, what ward and hospital this happened in etc.
In accordance with FOISA s 17(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it does not hold the information requested.
NHS Shetland do not collect this information and workload planning tools in Scotland do not use staffing ratios as a means of determining safe staffing levels.
