  1. The expected stage of pregnancy where a woman in your health board will have her first in person meeting with her named midwife, and the locations in your health board areas available to women to attend such meetings.

The majority of referrals are from women with very few coming from a GP. Women are seen within 1 week of referral and the majority are between 5 – 10 weeks. 1st appointments are scheduled at the community AN clinic at the GP surgery. However, if women work in town they can change their Midwifery team to accommodate this.

Please note have provided overtime for Nursing & Midwifery staff. It’s not possible to accurately identify all individuals employed in Midwifery and Maternity services e.g. administrative staff. The figures below do not include additional hours worked up to whole time, but do include overtime hours paid during annual leave.
