1. When was your last networking (LAN, Core & Edge refresh, and when is the next refresh planned?

Components of the LAN are refreshed every year on a rolling programme.

2. What would you like to improve upon in your next refresh?

Replacement of some older Edge switches

3. Could you please confirm the supplier for your current contract and the vendor that you are using?

We manage our LAN internally and do not have a single contract for management of the LAN.  Most of our LAN equipment is HP Procurve

4. When was your last Wi-Fi refresh, and when is the next refresh planned?

Wi-fi infrastructure is upgraded on an annual basis as required.

5. What would you like to improve upon in your next refresh? 

Replacement of older Wireless Access Points

6. Could you please confirm the supplier for your current contract and the vendor that you are using? 

We manage our Wifi internally and do not have a single contract for management of the Wifi.  Most of our Wifi equipment is HP Procurve or Aruba

7. When was your last Telephony Hardware refresh, and when is the next refresh planned? 

Core campus telephony replaced in 2020/21

8. What would you like to improve upon in your next refresh? 

Possibly complete migration to cloud-only telephony

10. When was your last Unified Communications refresh, and when is the next refresh planned? 

We do not have a fully unified communications system currently, although we fully utilise Microsoft 365 for E-mail and Teams

11. What would you like to improve upon in your next refresh? 

Implementation of M365 telephony.  More use of M365 Teams meeting rooms

Microsoft.  National contract for NHS Scotland

13. Do you currently use SD-WAN or SASE, if not it this something that you are planning to do?

Not currently

None currently, although we utilise Active Directory to track assets, we do not use RFID
