Components of the LAN are refreshed every year on a rolling programme.

Replacement of some older Edge switches

We manage our LAN internally and do not have a single contract for management of the LAN.  Most of our LAN equipment is HP Procurve

Wi-fi infrastructure is upgraded on an annual basis as required.

Replacement of older Wireless Access Points

We manage our Wifi internally and do not have a single contract for management of the Wifi.  Most of our Wifi equipment is HP Procurve or Aruba

Core campus telephony replaced in 2020/21

  1. What would you like to improve upon in your next refresh? 

Possibly complete migration to cloud-only telephony

We do not have a fully unified communications system currently, although we fully utilise Microsoft 365 for E-mail and Teams

Implementation of M365 telephony.  More use of M365 Teams meeting rooms

Microsoft.  National contract for NHS Scotland

Not currently

None currently, although we utilise Active Directory to track assets, we do not use RFID
