Hysterectomy Waits - FOI Response Register

For each financial year from 2018/19 to 2023/24 (most recent):

1. the total number of referrals for a hysterectomy

We do not have referrals for hysterectomy as the decision on the procedure is made by the gynaecologist not by the GP. The table below is the number of patients added to an inpatient waiting list for hysterectomy (We are using OPCS4 code Q07)

2. the median wait (in days) for a hysterectomy

3. the longest completed waited (in days) for a hysterectomy

4. the longest ongoing wait (in days) for a hysterectomy

Please note that there wasn’t a service delivered by NHS Shetland pre 2020, the Consultants started substantively in Sept 2020. Anything prior to this was carried out in Grampian, although a visiting service was occasionally available.
