1. Can you give me an idea of the rough split between how much medication is provided annually by commercial providers vs. NHS Tayside?
In accordance with FOISA s 17(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it does not hold the information requested.
The volume of unlicensed medication procured by NHS Shetland from NHS Tayside via Tayside Pharmaceuticals is minimal.
It is not possible for us to provide accurate detail on unlicensed medicines spend from the different providers given the mix of categories of medicines procured from each provider.
Most unlicensed medicines in Shetland and Scotland are provided via the community pharmacy network, and purchasing information is held by the contractors.
