With regards to pre August 2016 A&E data in accordance with FOISA s 17(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it does not hold the information requested.
NHS Shetland uses the ICD 10 coding system.
Figures provided are for the number of patients transported to A&E by ambulance who were admitted within 1 day who had ICD 10 codes I60, I61, I62, I63 and I64 listed as their Main Condition or Other Condition.
Figures provided will therefore exclude patients who are dead on arrival or who die in A&E or who are transported off-island.
