Young Patients Family Fund - FOI Response Register

1.    Can you please give us the amount paid from the Young Patients Family Fund for the years 2021, 2022 and 2023 and the amount of claims for each of these years?

21/22                    57 claims                   £10,106 – note YPFF only started in July 21

22/23                    198 claims                 £44,945

2.    Can you also tell us if the fund is advertised on the Health Boards Web site?

The fund is not currently advertised on the website. The majority of young patients have to travel off island for hospital treatment and therefore have travel booked through our patient travel department who provide details of the fund to any family who qualify for claiming under YPFF.
