Patients Leaving Waiting Lists - FOI Response Register

Please note figures provided are for inpatient waiting lists.

1.    A list of codes or categorical terms that the health board use to record and categorise instances when a patient has left an NHS waiting list.

Please specify each categorical term or code, and what it means in terms how/why a person has left a waiting list.

ACRT stands for Active Clinic Referral Triage

MH stand for Mental Health

Beyond the above and the information given by the removal reason category itself then in accordance with FOISA s 17(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it does not hold the information requested.

2.    A breakdown, by categorical term or code, of the reasons why people have left an NHS waiting list in last 6 financial years (2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 so far).

If it’s possible, could you please also provide this information in calendar years? (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 so far)
