Smoking Cessation - FOI Response Register

1. How much (£) has your health board invested in each of the last 5 financial years in stop smoking services as part of efforts to meet the annual LDP Standard.

NOTE ON FIGURES: Approximately 10 years ago, Smoking Cessation was combined with our Health Improvement Services & as such spend is now bundled in with the whole Health Improvement Service. It is therefore not possible to separate out day-to-day non-pay spend directly related to Smoking Cessation. Additionally, Nicotine Replacement Therapy products moved to being supplied through Community Pharmacy so I do not have the spend data for this either. Quantifiable spend equates to 1 Whole Time Equivalent Band 5 Health Improvement Advisor & additional resources, training & equipment where purchased in 2019-20 totalling £1,450.50 which have been identified. NOTE ON FIGURES: Funding for our Smoking Cessation Services is received as part of the Effective Prevention Bundle & the Board decides how this is split.
