Dental Surgeries - FOI Response Register

Preferably in an Excel document (if not possible a list), can I please have:

1. The total number and list of NHS dental surgeries that are currently in your NHS board.

Public Dental Service – 11 Surgeries

Please note they don’t have names but the sites are in:

Lerwick (6)

Brae (3)

Yell (1)

Whalsay (1)

Independent General Dental Service – 4 Surgeries (one practice, Lerwick Dental Practice)

2. The number of NHS dental surgeries in your NHS that are currently allowing new adult patients.

It is our understanding that the only NHS Independent practice in the Health Board area, is now taking on a limited amount of new adult NHS patients

3. The number of NHS dental surgeries in your NHS that are currently refusing to let adults become a patient.

Public Dental Service are not taking on any new patients for routine care other than seeing patients in emergency situations
