Electronic Bed Management - FOI Response Register

1.    I would be grateful if you could disclose (i) whether the health board uses an electronic bed management system in its hospitals and, if so,

Yes

(ii) The name of the electronic bed management system used,

(iii) Whether it features an electronic waiting room for patients, and where patients may be physically supported whilst waiting for further care.

Yes, A&E, Ward 1, Ward 3, and Day Surgery have electronic waiting rooms. If a patient is entered in to an electronic waiting room they will have access to staff.

2.    Where electronic waiting rooms are used, I would be pleased to know how many patients on such a system were made to wait for more than twelve hours in the period from February 27, 2023, to date.
