Biopsy Results - FOI Response Register

Can I request the following, for each of the last five financial years (2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 – most recent):

1. What was the median (in days) for a punch biopsy test result, from the point of the test being carried out to the test results being analysed?
2. What was the longest wait (in days) for a punch biopsy test result, from the point of the test being carried out to the test results being analysed?
3. What was the median (in days) for a needle biopsy test result, from the point of the test being carried out to the test results being analysed?
4. What was the longest wait (in days) for a needle biopsy test result, from the point of the test being carried out to the test results being analysed?

Please provide this data in Excel format.

In accordance with FOISA s 17(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it does not hold the information requested.

NHS Shetland do not provide this testing.  Samples are handles to enable them to get to Aberdeen.  NHS Shetland do not collect data on what type of samples are being sent.  Samples sent to Histology are recorded to ensure they can be tracked, but not what they are.
