Can I request the following, for each of the last five financial years (2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 – most recent):

  1. What was the median (in days) for a colonoscopy test result, from the point of the test being carried out to the test results being analysed?

Colonoscopy patients are provided with a report of their colonoscopy before they leave the department.

  1. What was the longest wait (in days) for a colonoscopy test result, from the point of the test being carried out to the test results being analysed?

With regards to the length of time it takes for a biopsy's histology to be reported then in accordance with FOISA s 17(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it does not hold the information requested.
