1. The number of women diagnosed with postnatal depression in your health board area each year from 2018 until 2023 (inclusive).

Under FOISA s 12(1), NHS Shetland is not obliged to comply with a request if the estimated

cost of doing so exceeds £600. Having reviewed Question 2, NHS Shetland has determined that the cost of compliance would exceed £600 and so is unable to provide the information requested; we have provided a breakdown of the estimated costs below:

NHS Shetland uses the ICD 10 coding system. Figures provided are for the number of unique inpatients (multiple admissions of 1 person are only counted once) where the ICD 10 code F53 (Mental and behavioural disorders associated with the puerperium, not elsewhere classified) was listed as Main Condition or Other Condition.

3. Of those women diagnosed with postnatal depression in each of those years (2018 to 2023), how many received outpatient treatment including counselling, CBT, medication etc?
