We wish to obtain an Install Base report for Monitoring systems within general wards at your NHS hospital. We are specifically looking for the following information.

NHS Shetland do not have any observation machines that link with digital systems or EPR.  Manual vital signs are recorded on NEWS2 charts.

  4. Is your general ward monitor connected to an EPR?
  5. Who is your EPR supplier?

 

System Definitions:

•           EPR – An electronic patient/health record is a digital version of a patient's paper chart.

•           OEM – original equipment manufacturer e.g. Philips

•           General Ward monitoring – A general ward monitor also known as a vital signs monitor or a spot check monitor is typically used to track a patients vital signs and overall wellbeing sporadically. A few examples of such include Philips EarlyVue VS30, Mindray VS900 and GE Portratin VSM.
