  1. How many people are there with type 1 diabetes over the age of 18, who are waiting for an insulin pump?

 Approx. 20

  1. Of those who are waiting, how many are 'High Priority' (eg hypo unawareness or poor glycaemic control)?

Poor glycaemic control = 15

  1. What is the median and longest wait for an insulin pump?

Currently we are working on these figures. Due to staffing shortages in admin we currently do not have an accurate figure.  On average this is around 2 years. As a team we are in the process of writing a business plan around our pump and CGM service to streamline the process and accessibility to insulin pumps, making use of the national on boarding teams.
