- Can you please confirm the current (2024/25) annual budget for weight management services for your NHS Board?
This remote and rural board has a small budget making it difficult to stipulate partial funding on individual elements of services and is instead provided for as part of the core budget making it difficult to provide specific figures. The figures noted below is the Scottish Government allocation

£131,600
- How much of this budget is committed to children’s services?
£65,800
- How much of this budget is committed to Tier 1 services?
Tier 1 service is funded separately temporarily.
- How much of this budget is committed to Tier 2 services?
Paediatric tier 2 and 3 are provided under the same support and budget as needed
Adult- £64,000
- How much of this budget is committed to Tier 3 services?
Paediatric tier 2 and 3 are provided under the same support and budget as needed
Adult – £1,700
Please note the bulk of the funding provided by SG provides diabetes remission services as stipulated by G guidance and the remaining fund is used to support weight management services.

Tier 4 services are delivered by NHS Grampian and funded as appropriate dependent on MDT discussion on individual cases and are not part of SG allocations.
