NHS Shetland doesn’t routinely monitor costs associated with Long Covid. However a funding allocation of £9,573 was received from the Scottish Government in June 2022 specifically for Long Covid support.

NHS Shetland uses the ICD 10 coding system. Figures provided are for the number of inpatients and outpatients where ICD 10 code U09.9 was listed as Main Condition or Other Condition.

NHS Shetland does not have a specific long covid pathway so people with Long Covid can access a range of existing services depending on their individual needs and requirements and the relevant team/professional will always try to tailor a person-centred approach to assessment and treatment.
