- Please provide details of the 10 most recent building safety incidents* reported to your health board’s estates department, including when it was reported; where it occurred; what happened.
*These would relate to instances where something went wrong with infrastructure (floors, ceilings, lifts, walls etc) in a way that has either injured staff/patients/visitors or was deemed to put them at risk of harm
- Reported 16/02/2024 – failure of lock on a door in Health Centre meaning that door cannot be used as an exit for patients needing transfer to ambulance.
- Reported 24/10/2023 – failure in power supply to building lead to disruption of vaccination provision.
- Reported 18/03/2024 – faulty door closer prevented door from opening properly and lead to patient banging head on door
- Reported 06/02/2024 – temporary power outage at Health Centre lead to issues with storage heaters, temperature dropping below recommended levels and need to use back-up heaters
- Reported 22/01/2024 – water leak in Health Centre
- Reported 27/12/2023 – plumbing issues in Health Centre (air in system). One bathroom affected – out of order sign placed on door
