  1. The number of people infected by contaminated blood in Shetland between 1970 and 1991
  2. The number of people who contracted HIV as a result between the same time period
  3. The number of people who contracted Hepatitis C as a result between the same time period
  4. The number of people who died due to receiving contaminated blood in the same time period

In accordance with FOISA s 17(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it does not hold the information requested.

  1. Has NHS Shetland paid out any compensation as a result of someone receiving contaminated blood?
  2. If so, how much?

NHS Shetland do not hold complaint data beyond the last 7 years.  However, NHS Shetland can confirm that CLO records dating back to 2000, do not indicate er had any claims or settlements in relation to infected blood in that time period.
