In accordance with FOISA s 17(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it does not hold the information requested.

NHS Shetland do not perform Breast Reconstruction surgeries.  Patients requiring this go to Specialist centres.

  1. What date did NHS Shetland stop performing reconstructions at the same time as mastectomies during the pandemic?
  2. What date did the health board start offering reconstructions at the same time as mastectomies again?
  3. Divided by month, what was the average waiting time for receiving reconstruction in NHS Shetland between January 2019 to October 2024 (or most up to date data) for:

 

a)         Free-flap reconstruction

-           Immediate?

-           Delayed?

 

b)         Implant reconstruction

-           Immediate?

-           Delayed?

 

  1. How many patients who require a delayed reconstruction, have been waiting longer than:

-1 year

-2 years

-3 years

->4 years

 

  1. Divided by month, how many people are on the waiting list for a delayed breast reconstruction after a mastectomy from January 2019 to October 2024 (or the most up to date data)?
  2. How many patients who have been on the waiting list since January 2019 to October 2024 (or the most up to date data) have had their reconstructive surgery, for:

a)         Immediate reconstruction?

b)         Delayed reconstruction?
