Waiting Times - FOI Response Register

I would like to request the following information: 

1. The current (September 2024) average waiting time (in days), between a referral from the GP and the first assessment appointment for an autism diagnosis

Adults

The current average waiting time for those currently being assessed in September 2024:

The average waiting time between a referral from a GP and a first assessment appointment for an autism diagnosis was 444 days. Note that this figure is based on a small number of patients.

Children

The current average waiting time for those currently being assessed in September 2024:

No children being assessed in September 2024 were referred by a GP.

Please note – Data given is based on referrals made by GPs only as requested. The majority of referrals do not come from GPs.
