- To ask the how many vehicles the authority owns or is in control of through arms-length entities and how many are LEZ compliant. How many of those are frontline and deal with emergencies.
- To ask how many vehicles have been converted to LEZ compliance (and how many are front line that deal with emergencies) so far and how much it has cost.
- To ask how many vehicles are yet to be converted to LEZ compliance and how much that will cost.
In Shetland there is currently no LEZ area imposed by Shetland Island Council. There are only four LEZ areas in Scotland.
As NHS Shetland pooled vehicles do not normally leave the Shetland Isles there is no LEZ regime we are required to be compliant with on a daily basis.
However out of our 56 vehicles there are 46 fully electric vehicles and 2 hybrid vehicles that would definitely meet LEZ restrictions in the four city zones.
NHS Shetland has a climate obligation for all 56 vehicles to be zero tail pipe CO2 emission by 31 December 2025.
