In respect of Paediatric patients, under FOISA s 12(1), NHS Shetland is not obliged to comply with a request if the estimated cost of doing so exceeds £600.  Having reviewed your request, NHS Shetland has determined that the cost of compliance would exceed £600 and so is unable to provide the information requested; we have provided a breakdown of the estimated costs below:

103 files from Q2 identified, that would be 30minutes x 103 records = 3090 minutes or 51.5 hours = £772.50. Additionally, bank staff would have to be booked to catch up with the deficit in required work load, created by this request.

Paediatric consultant (1) No formal training as such. Diagnosis and management was part of the Consultant’s paediatric Neurodisability training 2016 -2018.

Paediatric consultant (2) Received training on the diagnosis and management of paediatric ADHD during their paediatric training in 2018.  Currently on study leave involving ADHD.

Training provided by Royal College of Psychiatrists and UKAAN (UK Adult ADHD network) in relation to assessment and management of ADHD
