Gender Surgery - FOI Response Register

1. How many transgender people have de-transitioned in each of the past five financial years and how many are currently in the process of de-transitioning in your health board area? Please break the figures down for each year. If figures are only available for a specific period then please provide those figures.
2. How many transgender people are currently on the waiting list to undergo surgery in your health board area to de-transition?
3. How many people from your health board area are currently on the waiting list for any gender reassignment surgery? Please break the figures down, if possible, to show age bandings for those waiting for this surgery.

All referrals for Gender Affirming surgery are processed on behalf of NHS Scotland by the Gender Dysphoria National Referral Support Service (GDNRSS), which is operated by NHS England.  NHS Shetland does not provide any Gender Affirming surgery locally.
