GP Surgeries - FOI Response Register

1. How many GP surgeries are there in NHS Shetland? 

There are 10 GP Buildings

2. Of those GP surgeries, how many have a single GP allocated to them?

6 (although 2 work closely together with ANP support across both)

3. What measures are in place to support these GPs?(Safety, or other incident of note) 

None of the GPs works in isolation, they are not working alone in the buildings.  All Practice staff are provided training on de-escalation techniques and staying safe.  There are also peer support mechanisms in place, group Teams meetings and de-brief opportunities.  NHS Occupational Health services are also available to all Practice staff.

4. How many incidents related to urgent health support, or emergency support to deal with unruly behaviours have there been in each of the years 2019-2023.
