- (a) The average and (b) the longest wait times for children and young people to have an assessment in NHS Shetland for a neurodevelopmental condition such as ASD or ADHD over the last 3 years?
From SLT - A – average wait time for children and young people to have an autism assessment:
2021/22 - commenced waiting lists during this time, average waiting time data cannot be given accurately due to the change.
2022/23 - Those assessed in this time waited on average 12 months for the assessment to commence.
2023/24 – Those assessed in this time waited on average 15 months for the assessment to commence.
B – Longest wait time for children and young people to have an autism assessment:
28 months
- The percentage of children and young people waiting (a) 0-18 weeks (b) 19-35 weeks (c) 36-52 weeks (d) over 53 weeks for assessment for a neurodevelopmental condition in NHS Shetland.
For the avoidance of doubt, with regard to points 2 and 3, please provide waiting times for children and young people reported in CAMHS and for those who are not meeting the CAMHS criteria but are on a neurodevelopmental pathway.
