Alcohol, Cocaine, Heroin Addiction - FOI Response Register

1. I'm interested to know how many people NHS Shetland is treating for addictions to cocaine, heroin, and alcohol over the past 10 years

If you could please provide an annual breakdown for each substance between January 2015 and this month, it would be much appreciated

In accordance with FOISA s 17(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it does not hold the information requested.

We are unable to provide data for the previous ten years as our IT systems do not allow us to look backwards and can only provide information regarding those currently active within the service. Currently there are 229 patients open to the service, engaging in treatments for drug and/or alcohol use.

Public Health Scotland publish annual data on prescribed treatment for drug use, but aside from this we are unable to break down our data by drug type.
