A and E Staff - FOI Response Register

1. How many doctors, physician associates and nurses do you employ in your Accident and Emergency department?

We do not employ any physician associates. We do not have any dedicated doctors in ED, the department is covered by the on call Consultant Physician, Surgeon, Obstetrician/Gynaecologist or Anaesthetist. Resident Doctors are assigned ED from a roster when we are acting as their placement Board. Nurses 16.06 WTE

2. Please state the colour of the scrubs each of these roles is required to wear in your Accident and Emergency department:

Doctors – Green or Blue

Physician Associates – Not applicable

Nurses – National Uniform Policy and/or Green scrubs

3. Are there any visual indicators a doctor, a physician associate or a nurse might display to illustrate their role in your Accident and Emergency department? If none please state.

None – particularly as Doctors work in multiple departments, not exclusively ED
