NHS Shetland has had NO instances of Corridor Care

  1. Confirmation of whether any instances of ‘corridor care’ has been brought to the attention of health board leaders in last three months (January 2025, December 2024 and November 2024).
  2. The number of instances of ‘corridor care’ brought to the attention of health board leaders.
  3. The number of those instances of ‘corridor care’ that has gone on to be investigated by the health board.
  4. A copy of any correspondence between the health board’s press and communication team and health board leaders regarding the Royal College of Nurses on the 15th and 16th January.

Clarification: By ‘corridor care’ I mean care taking place in an unsuitable setting, that is deemed as unsafe and unacceptable to the board as they pose a danger to patient safety and wellbeing.

I am not referring to instances recorded on the datix system. I mean instances that have been taken to the very top of the health board leadership structure to be looked at.
