These figures include patients who have declined group support intervention but requested to remain on the waiting list for any future options available.

NHS Shetland does not set specific budgets for Wegovy and Mounjaro specifically.

NHS Shetland has no cap on the number of patients that can be funded in that period.

7. Does NHS Shetland allow GPs to prescribe Wegovy or Mounjaro, for weight loss and associated diseases, or any other clinicians outside of the specialised weight management clinic?

NHS Shetland currently follows SMC advice on access to these therapeutics to be through a specialist weight management service, in line with shared formulary advice across NHS Grampian, NHS Orkney and NHS Shetland.
