No.

N/A

N/A
- If no contract, what is done with the redundant IT equipment?
We have an arrangement with a local third-sector organisation who refurbish decommissioned hardware as part of an enterprise supporting adults with learning and development additional needs.
- Does the organisation have a separate arrangement in place for the onsite shredding of data-bearing assets, such as hard disks, solid state drives, USB devices, CDs and data tapes, or is data-containing equipment erased/destroyed by your contracted IT hardware disposal provider?
All data is removed from hardware (including the data storage component where possible) prior to disposal to the third-party. Data storage components are either retained or incinerated. The transport to the incineration facility is undertaken by our own staff.
- Who within the organisation has overall responsibility for the disposal of IT hardware?
Head of Information and Digital Technology, craig.chapman@nhs.scot
