Mental Health Inpatient Referrals - FOI Response Register

1. For each year, 2022 and 2023 can you tell me how many mental health inpatient referrals from A&E at the Gilbert Bain Hospital were made where the patient stayed for 1 night and also for more than 1 night?

NHS Shetland does not have mental health inpatient beds. Patients that require inpatient mental health care are referred to NHS Grampian.

The figures in Table 1 are for patients who were admitted to Wards 1 and 3 of the Gilbert Bain Hospital due to a mental health care need.
