Childhood Obesity - FOI Response Register

For EACH of the previous three fiscal years (i.e. 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24) and 2024/25 - up to November 1 - please can you tell me:

1. The TOTAL number of children referred/sent to a paediatric weight management program for being overweight/obese, a BMI of 25 kg/m² or greater.

Where we have given <5 answers, this is because NHS Shetland considers that providing more specific information carries a high risk of identifying individuals. As such and in accordance with FOISA s 16(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it holds the information requested but that it is exempt from disclosure under FOISA s 38(1)(b) as read with s 38 (2A) as the information constitutes personal data and disclosure would breach the confidentiality of the data subjects.

2. I wish this information to be provided and broken down by year/age group (e.g. 0-5, 6-10, 11-16, etc.)

Due to the small numbers involved, NHS Shetland is unable to breakdown the figures provided in response to Q1 without a high risk of identifying individual children.
