Local Guidelines - FOI Response Register

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following information:

1. Any local guidelines or pathways used within your NHS health board to inform clinicians on coeliac disease diagnosis and follow-up care. We are interested in guidance for adults and children seen in any setting.

There are referral guidelines for endoscopy which include coeliac disease for confirmatory biopsy as a routine referral.

2. If your area does not have local guidance/pathways for coeliac disease, please specify which clinical guidelines (e.g. NICE, ESGPHAN, BSG) are recommended to clinicians.

NHS Shetland also refer to NHS Grampian’s pathway guidance.
