Annual Health Checks - FOI Response Register

In a letter written on 29th January and addressed to NHS health boards regarding the delivery of annual health checks for people with learning disabilities, Minister for Social Care Maree Todd said:

“My expectation is that all Health Boards in Scotland will be delivering Annual Health Checks by 31 March 2025”

Based on this I am requesting the following information:

1. Confirmation of whether or not the board started to deliver annual health checks by 31st March 2025.

Health checks have been started in a test of change before 31/03/25, and have not been rolled out across the board area yet. But we have the plans in place and expect these to be routine by the end of the year

2. If so please reveal when the first check annual health check

The patients being invited are sent the pre-assessment questionnaire approximately 1 week before the appointment – in a tailored format

3. To date how many have been offered and how many have been delivered?

6 have been offered and completed
