Please provide me with the number of discharged psychiatric patients (i.e. General Psychiatry; Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; Forensic Psychiatry; Psychiatry of Old Age; Learning Disability; and Psychotherapy) in a) 2022/23, b) 2023/24 and c) 2024/25 who received a follow-up appointment with community mental health services i) within 7 days, ii) within 10 days, iii) within 14 days and iv) longer than 14 days

Note that we have only counted patients once and in the lowest time period – that is, a patient receiving a follow-up appointment within 7 days also meets the ‘within 10 days’ and within ‘14 days criteria’ but they have only been counted in the first category.

Where we have given <5 answers, this is because NHS Shetland considers that providing more specific information carries a high risk of identifying individuals. As such and in accordance with FOISA s 16(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it holds the information requested but that it is exempt from disclosure under FOISA s 38(1)(b) as read with s 38 (2A) as the information constitutes personal data and disclosure would breach the confidentiality of the data subjects.
