Car parking is limited at the Gilbert Bain Hospital. Where possible, please use public transport or arrange to be dropped off by car at the main hospital entrance.

Public Transport

There are bus stops outside the Gilbert Bain Hospital on the A969 South Road.

Cycling

There is a large covered cycle shelter, 4x lockers for equipment (own padlock required) and a cycle repair stand to the right of the car park entrance off Gilbertson Road. There are also 6 individual cycle lockers between the front of the main building and the staff parking area.

Car Parking

There are parking spaces reserved for disabled patients who hold a Blue Badge or have mobility problems, close to the hospital at both the Gilbertson Road and Cairnfield Road entrances. Eight of these can be located adjacent to the main entrance to the hospital (accessed from Cairnfield Road), and two spaces in the Children's Outpatient car park (Accessed from Gilbertson Road).

Please do not under any circumstances park your car in the ambulance bays outside the main entrance.

There are also six parking spaces for the use of frail or elderly patients and for parents with pre-school children which can be found opposite the main entrance to the hospital.

Main hospital parking is accesed via Cairnfield Road, parking for childrens outpatients is access via Gilbertson Road.
