Occupational Health – Supporting the Wellbeing of NHS Shetland Staff
NHS Shetland is committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of its staff, recognising that a healthy workforce is essential to delivering excellent patient care.
Our Occupational Health (OH) service plays a key role in achieving this goal. We offer a wide range of services designed to protect staff from workplace hazards and to support those experiencing health issues in remaining at work or returning to work safely. We firmly believe in the positive impact that meaningful work can have on health and wellbeing.
The OH team comprises both clinical and non-clinical professionals, all working together to provide tailored support and expert advice on work-related health matters. We bring extensive experience in supporting individuals and managers across NHS Shetland, as well as a number of external clients. This collaborative approach not only strengthens the support offered to NHS Shetland staff, but also contributes to improving the overall public health of the working-age population in the Shetland Islands.
Additionally, Occupational Health supports NHS Shetland in fulfilling its legal obligations under Health and Safety, Employment, and Disability legislation.
