Notes:

• For all questions asking for data about children, NHS Shetland considers, given that the request covers very small numbers and sensitive health information about children, there is no information, however redacted, that we can provide that would not be potentially disclosive. As such and in accordance with FOISA s 16(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it holds the information requested but that it is exempt from disclosure under FOISA s 38(1)(b) as read with s 38 (2A) as the information constitutes personal data and disclosure would breach the confidentiality of the data subjects.
• For deaths data from 2014, in accordance with FOISA s 17(1), NHS Shetland confirms that it does not hold the information requested.
• With regards to cases data figures provided below are for the number of inpatients the applicable condition was listed as Main Condition or Other Condition.

1. How many cases of rickets were reported between 2014 and 2024 (please break down by year).
