Following the announcement that Monday 19 September will be the state funeral of Her Majesty the Queen, and as such, a bank holiday, some services opening times have been changed.

If you haven’t already heard or do not hear from us directly regarding a scheduled appointment for Monday 19 September, you should assume that it is still going
ahead as planned.

Details for NHS Shetland at present (this list is not exhaustive)

GP practices – Lerwick, Bixter, Walls, Levenwick, Brae, Whalsay, Yell, Unst and Hillswick will be closed.

Scalloway will be closed 11am-2pm.

Pharmacies - Boots and Brae – Closed.

Freefield - Open 9am -10am, closed 10am-1pm, open 1pm - 5.30pm.

Laings Pharmacy – Open 9am-10am, closed 10am-1pm, open 1pm-5.30pm.

Scalloway – Open 9am-10am, closed 10am-1pm, open 1pm-5pm Gilbertson Park Games Hall Vaccination Centre – Closed.

The outpatient department will be open and clinics provided by specialist nurses and midwives will continue to operate for antenatal scanning, chemotherapy, diabetes and cardiac care.

NHS Shetland Dental practice sites – Closed.

Opticians - Specsavers – Closed.

iCare – Open.
